Religion
I happen to be a Quaker. Ah yes, my poor mother believed I would be the perfect quaker man. Carrying on the religion but now I am the president of the united States. What a shock. I do not dress the the Quaker Oats man or say "thee". My religion consists of simplicity, social equality, and pacifism.

Checkers

No I am not speaking of the silly game but my family's dog. Checkers was given to us in 1952 and sadly died in 1964. Checkers was a good Cocker Spaniel. I mentioned him in my famous "Checker's Speech." This was in response to the Watergate scandal. I never excepted money from the so called slush fund. The only gift my family has ever accepted was Checkers.
Checkers was given to us by an admirer in Texas.
